]]>Hyper-V Replica is an integral part of the Hyper-V role. It contributes to disaster recovery strategy by replicating virtual machines from one Hyper-V host server to the other to keep workloads constantly available. Hyper-V Replica creates a copy of a live virtual machine to a replica offline virtual machine. Primary and secondary host servers can be physically co-located or in separate geographical locations with replication over a WAN / LAN link. Maya Appliances were facing issues with taking backup of their data and storing it.
They had 2 independent servers for Active Directory (AD) and Linux-based CRM (service) server. Yet, they did not have a proper backup process for both servers. They wanted an appropriate backup & storage solution to safeguard their data.
We deployed 2 HP Rack servers , we deployed one new HP Server and used an existing server of the customer. We installed Microsoft 2016 with Hyper-V features on both the servers and configured 2 VMs for each server in the replication model.

Additionally, we used 1 QNAP NAS for ISCSI drive to mount as a local disk on both the servers for configuring the VM machine. In case the primary VM machine is down, the other VM on the second server can be started.
